Alternate J bass thumb rests

Anyone out there experimented with moving/adding thumb rests
on their Jazz? I'm thinking of adding one on mine above the E
string, running from the edge of the fretboard to about an inch
from the neck p/u, using an existing pickguard hole and drilling
another. Just seeing if anyone has done any designs like that,
especially something more "out there." Seem to remember seeing
one on here that had a rest running the length of the body...

Ya ..I make them for either precision or Jazz and I don't even drill holes as I use existing holes in the pickguard. Look at my HP and you will see an example....very easy to do ..just need a piece of wood...1 drill bit..countersink and 2 longer wood screws..
I also carve on the rest the correct position for the thumb
