That theme from "Friends" is alright. But, my all-
time fav is the "Bad Things" by Jace Everett (both
of my bands play the song). It is the theme to
"True Blood".

However, I didn't really mean show themes, I meant
tunes done on television shows ostensibly by the
fake bands those shows were about. A more modern
example to my first two might be something by
Dethklok. I think Brendon Small is pretty amazing.

Outside of the two you listed (I refuse to count
"Johnny Bravo" from the Brady Bunch), I can't think
of any other songs done on shows. Maybe "Smelly
Cat" from Friends?

Actually, I am surprised you remember any of that
Brady Bunch stuff. :) Was that when Greg wrapped a
tie or something around his head, wore a suede vest,
and called even his mom "man?" :)

Yep! That was it! He even had the brothers &
sisters doing background vocals on stage with him!
Oh yeah, I watch the show when i was a kid - but I
liked The Partridge Family more because of Susan Day
:P

Yeah, I remember when the Brady Bunch tried to be a
musical family. I always liked the Partridge Family
for that better. I think just about every late
sixties/early seventies show with kids tried that at
least once, though. :P

I like "Bad Things" / True Blood theme a lot too!

Yeah, Spinal Tap was great. I remember years ago,
trying to explain to my then 12 year old step-son
that Spinal Tap was a spoof, and not a serious band.
They were touring at the time, and he wasn't buying
it. "How can they be playing concerts, then," he
asked.:)

Yeah, it's kind of strange for me to watch the show
now. Susan Dey is just a kid, and Shirley Jones
looks pretty hot. :)

Haaaaaaaa!!!!!! I know what you mean! I saw "The Graduate" again a couple of years ago and thought Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft?) was pretty hot. LOL!

Thanks Ivan - it only took 6 or 7 years to get to this point! Another bass sounds like a great idea, in fact Plod got me gassing for a hollowbody with a post he made on FB.

I just got a hollow-body Gretsch about two weeks
ago. It sounds so much richer than a solid body and
it has become my main bass. So now, I'm back to
playing 4 strings!!! I have a pic of it on my
homepage.

So you're neglecting your 5 string p-bass?

I still pick her up to let her know I've not
forgotten her, but - yeah!

Thanks! It's a little different getting used to a
bigger body. I've had to start slinging it lower to
compensate, but I love the sound and it looks good
with my cowpunk/rockabilly band :)
