What is MESA thinking??? Raising Prices...

I went to get a 2x12 bass cab and just found out that MESA raised prices in December. It doesn't matter that this cab has sat for a year in the store MESA has moved the price up from $779 to $879 on this cab. Don't get me wrong... but the cab sat in the store for a year with out anyone buying it. Even the guys in the shop were glad that I was looking at it, but then they told me that it went up $100. For the same cab not a new one??? With the economy in the tank and MESA not selling a ton of bass gear this was a huge disapointment. I think that I will have to look at a few others in this price range.

Hey Mark, I would check with Mesa. They may have raised prices but not real sure that would count for equipment that's a 2009/2010 model. Don

Mark,
I sell plumbing and heating products to contractors for a living. You would not believe all the increases in material that has been going up for about the last 3 years.I am certainly not defending the manufacturers because all my customers give me grief when it happens, but it happens.
Luckily I can come home thump on my bass and forget about all the "Bitchin"

No, but it was probably the Plumbers who lead
