I guess this is going to be TWO of those gigs! I was building a big shelf Wednesday to mount on my shop wall. I was screwing in a drywall screw with my impact driver. I had JUST put a new Phillips bit in it too. I slipped off the screw and went right into my ring finger on my left hand. Luckily (if you can call it that) I hit the bone which kept it from going all the way through my finger before reaction took over. MAN that hurt! After about ten seconds of cursing I had a look. It was ripped up pretty good but not as bad as it could have been. I cleaned it with alcohol which led to a whole new round of cursing! I put some Neosporin on it and put a band aid on it. If you dont have Neosporin you should get it! That stuff REALLY works. I went out to finish building the shelf and you should have seen the meat on my Phillips bit! I was going to snap a picture of it but it was disgusting looking! It was grossing me out and it was MINE! I havent had a Tetanus shot since 1994. I thought I should probably go get one but I didnt. Thursday I thought about calling the woman Im seeing and asking her if she thought I should get one. But, I knew she would just give me that YES answer I didnt want to hear. Then I thought about posting it on AB and seeing if you guys thought I should get one. But, again I knew you would probably just give me the answer I didnt want to hear. So, I just went and got one! This weekend we have a Friday and Saturday gig. Doesnt it always happen like that?!?! At least its on the other side from where my finger presses on the strings but its still tender playing. Im going to lose a good chunk of skin but again that Neosporin has this thing healing pretty quickly!
