String height ?

What is the proper distance from
fingerboard to bottom of strings
at the point where fretting the E
will be in unison with the A, ...
I would call that 'second position'
but I'm not sure that's correct.

I would think that a fixed bridge
(of proper size) would be better
than an adjustable.

Thanks for your help

i set my action @ 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, and 9mm from G to E. If that is a new bridge, you will need to take it to a luthier to get it "fitted". The luthier would probably set your action for no or very little extra money.

Thanks Adam

I was just goofing around on a
used one in a local store.

It had to be a LEAST 16mm (5/8")
at the spot I metioned.
I couldn't fret with my pinkie
at all.
Just out of curiosity, what would
the "fitting" process consist of?

Thanks again
Wayne

good thing you couldn't "fret" it. that would be a titanic feat considering they don't have them.
