Hello!

Long time no speak for a lot of you, I hope everyone is doing
well. It's been a while since I posted here last. Looking through
my messages from years gone by it occurred to me how much
I've grown up, and how very embarrassed I feel to have been so
argumentative with my elders as I was a few years back! I hope
you can see past my previous immaturity, I met a lot of really
great guys on this site all brought together with a common
bound, and I used the board a lot of the time to wind people up
and mess them around as well, down to all sorts of issues and
insecurities which quite simply a thing of the past.

With all that aside, I'm still playing a lot, although with a brand
new outlook on everything, and a few new bits of gear. Myself
and the rest of the band are setting up our own label and
processing our own stuff currently for general release, maybe
soon once it's finished i'll post it here for you guys to listen to.
Until then check our cover band out at
http://www.bikergrooveonline.com.

I'm so glad there are people still here enjoying a cool forum,
Talkbass and alike are okay but just lack the friendliness and
warmth of this place. So to the guys I can remember, Mo, Ivan,
Pete, Roger, Barney, and so many others that make this site
great and have continued to power on with the forum, you've got
my respect. I hope to keep in touch with the board in the future.

Take care, Liam

Tons of things changed for me, but I'm still good.
Spent a year in Baghdad, then came home and got
divorced and - worst of all - I only own two basses
now: both 5 string and its a Fender American
Standard P-bass and a revamped Schecter Model-T!
What a crazy world!!!

Wow, things do change eh! I'm very sorry to hear about your
marriage. I'm glad to hear you got back from Baghdad safely as
well.

On the plus side that Fender sounds like a winner. Wanted to check
out one of those precision 5's for a while now. I don't really keep
up to date with new and old gear now as much as I did, I just still
have a love affair going on with the Fenders ;)

Hey Liam, how are you!

Nice to hear from you once again.

It sounds an old cliche I know, but I was thinking of you today and remembering going on your band site..oooohhh...about 2 years ago and marvelling at how well you guys were tackling Queen songs.

I get home, and find you've posted - how weird is that!

No need to apologise at all. Us older ones all went through teenage years and bet guys like Ivan and I were bigger PITAs than you were!

Great tp have you back and hope you join in regularly.

I like your band's homepage. You guys seem to be doing well.

Is that still the same Jazz you got about 4 years ago?

Cheers

Mo

Haha, hello matey! Yes, we like to punch above our own weight
in the band, I think we tried tough songs to set us aside from
other bands so hopefully we'd get the gigs!! :D We're winding
down covers now and concentrating on our own stuff.

Same Jazz, classic workhorse although I've got an old Fender P I
usually rock out a bit more... strung with flats, sounds really
great. Still using my Eden WT-800 and 410XLT unless I'm going
through house equipment like I do when we're in Sweden... it
can be a bit hit or miss but it's a good laugh! Here's the P-
bass...

It's made up of older Fender parts so it's age is a bit of a
variable. I love how beat up it is, it sounds huge!

I remember you saying you were over here a while back, and
frustratingly I missed you. Please do let me know if you're over
again, it would be excellent to see you face to face.

Aaahh yes. I had planned to be in the homeland in 2007 but because my son was going through some problems with his new insulin meds, we were advised to stick to one country, which was the US. So you didn't miss us - we just never got there! : )

I had planned to be in Europe 2008 and thus catch up with you, but the economic dive put the khybwash on that and has ever since.
