Hey Barney hows it going its been awhile. hope your doing well. Excellent post. i can try from memory what I think is a good turn around.
I like the minors I vi ii V7 or majors I VI7 II7 V7 Which ever one is still a popular turn around. try it in all keys. A good one thats used for jazz and used in alot of pop nowdays is ( I bIII bVI bII) Must use major chords for this. a good tip would be to practice this in all keys to get familiar with the 2nd chord of the progression or the 6th of the key you're in, to jazz it up move up 3 frets and then cycle to the two after that. All the chords in the turn-around chordal progressions (except the first one to the 2nd one)are cyclic. Use your arpeggio's in such an instance, you can do: C7 (R 3 5 b7) to Fm7 (R b3 5 b7) to F7 (R 3 5 b7) to Bbm7 (R b3 5 b7) and round and round the cycles: Bb Eb Ab Db Gb B (Cb) E A D G C etc.
I had to go back to my tutor for reference to remember these. lol. Its easier for me just to play it than to try and explain.

Dan
