great looking guitar, but...12 strings...3 times more than needed hehehe

I like to learn the changes on guitar before going over to the bass, but them 6-stringers, we-ll ya know - with that short, stubby little neck that stays up all the time instead of diving to the floor and those little wiry skinny things they laughingly call strings that make that weak, whiny puny little sound - I just can't get into it.

But a 12-string, different story. You get some metal under your fingers and the weight and balance feels like a bass.

Not to mention, the electric 12 had it's heyday when rock and roll was made by MEN, as old Doc Thompson would say. Consider: McGuinn, Harrison, Page, Petty... Need I go on? Not to mention Leo Kottke, Pete Seeger, and of course Leadbelly.

Of course, this leads inevitably to my dream acquisition, a genuine, original Hagstrom H8, given my love of octaves and Haggies.
