RIP Tom "T-Bone" Wolk

Another fine musician takes his leave of us. Most will remember
T-Bone for his many years supporting Hall & Oates, as well as
his work with fellow H&O alum G.E. Smith in the Saturday Night
Live band, though he worked with many other musicians through
the years.

T-Bone was an exceptional bass player and human being,
exemplifying all of the positive aspects, beside his talent, that
the best bassists are known for: dedication to his music, hard
work, humility, and kindness. He will be missed.

I remember an interview with him where he re-counted that the only way H&O would hire him was if he would agree to always wear a hat (he was bald) - and that's how his hat became his trademark.

Yes, I read that too.......funny how it worked for him in a big way. He was a serious old school groove master. Some really awesome basslines. Don

I read that too. I think in the same interview he
stated that his family told him he needed to get
schooling to get a 'better' job so he wouldn't have
to 'rely' on music for a living. How many of us
would love to be in that position?
