Need help identifying this Bass Collection bass

Hi all:
I know Sean is a Bass Collection expert. I am interested in purchasing the following bass. According to the shop it unsold stock. I am hoping its a Bass Collection BC501 but cant manage to get confirmation from them. They can confirm it was made by SGC Nanyo in Japan and has active elctronics.

Here is the link:

Anyone any ideas....i want to avoid buying an entry model and I know the BC501 was highish range....all help welcome
Cheers Tom

Thanks...yep I am aware of the Speakeasy, its new crap from China. The pick ups on the Nanyo one show the SGC logo and the knobs have a white position idicator which may be a good sign. I know the BC501 was the high range four string and was made in white.....no proof that this is one of them though without expert eyes... ;-((...cheers Tom

Thanks Robo....the close shots up prove it was made in japan by SGC Nanyo and all the hardware looks to be good quality.....Now there are all these cheap remakes made by SX whom I understand purachsed the design from poor old SGC Nanyo.... Its the fact that its going fairly cheap that has raised my suspiscions!!

I'm wondering what ever came of the white bass collection dilemma? I find myself in the very same situation. There's a white fretless model on ebay I'm researching, it is described as being one of the originals from the 80's. I've got one of the original 4 string fretted models from I'd say 1986. Comparing the two, the only thing that I stands out is that the letting on the pick-ups is a different font and placement is on the short edge instead of the long. The seller says it can be identified as one of the earlier models and not a speakeasy because his is a pearl white and the more current models have a plain glossy finish. Photos of the back plate don't show the initials SX and the control knobs are flat on the top instead of rounded.

Any help is appreciated as the shipping from the UK alone is well over $100
