Upright Amplification

I've been doing gigs with a jazz big band, and my little 30w stage combo isn't cutting it, not even close. My Ampeg SVT3 and 4x10 is definitely overkill. So I need to invest in a new amp.. I've been eyeing these GK Microbass amps.. but I'm wondering if anyone else has any suggestions...
