You can do rests per say. Just mover forward and insert your note. Slides are for Gene Simmons : ) Hammer ons and pull offs you just have to play em straight. I wish you could change the time signature as well AND do chords. To do chords now you have to write two bass lines and then you are limited to two notes. It is what it is... they won't ever update it.

You have to hit on the black part basically the nut at the D-string.



Just hit the black nut and it will give it to you.
