Rickenbacker 4001 77-80

The value of this bass is well of 1500 dollars: I am willing to sell, for a rock bottom price, possibly between 400-500 dollars: case included, orignal silver body plate-It has been played, yet with a few minor modifications you have a bass worth over 1500 dollars: Black and white color, classic-so any geddy or squire fans please reply:

Not meaning to offend Jon, but that price for a working Ric says "hot" to me.

Dave, relax, I have been playing the instrument for over 12 years, the paint is chipped, the electronics, need slight work: and it does not have the original bridge, whoever owned it before me replaced the original wrap bridge with a powerfull bad a-- bridge: However I just amped the instrument at island music in Wisconsin great result, however the studio jack is not what it should be: However the results are still the same -great tone, and no it is not hot: I just have some legal issues to work out, and the sooner the better: and to make you feel even more better, with case, 700 dollars: IF you are intersted send me a money order: The serial is proablably 3220, and that is written on the input: You can have it, if you are interested reply:

Jon, didn't mean to imply anything. There's a difference between "I don't believe you" & "I can't believe it".

Man, the last thing I need is a 14th bass. Let alone shipping et cetera hassles to Canada.

Any takers out there?

Dave you made a wise distinction in terms. Any way I do have to consider depreciation in condition-could you imagine if it was mint, oh my god-I would have everything all good, in no time, yet it has been played-however the frets are great and it is a rick: And you are right, the logistics would be nuts, which brings up a whole slew of issue, yet if you know any one-I am game

Last weekend a co-worker flew back from Trane's head office to here. If you're in Appleton I'm sure you've heard of Trane.

Looks like fate is telling me someone else gets a great deal ;)

Dave, believe it or not, we got Appleton Paper, Kimberly Clark, Voith, but I have never heard of Trane: Yet this is still great news, because I myself still live in Applelton, which is a great tragedy. However, it would be awesome if me and your boy could hook up, I would be happy to sell the instrument to him-and hey if you are from canada, it is of no small stretch of the imagination that you have probably heard of a small band called Rush-Well Geddy played the same thing I play, and for a 6-700 bucks he can have it, and probably get it on the outgoing flight from our lovely Outagamie county airport, I would be happy to meet him-respond

Hi Jon,
Can you let me have the rest of the serial number, there should be a pair of letters as well as the number on the output jacks.

Other than the B-arse has there been anything else done to the Ric.

Many thanks,
JimG

The drive from chicago is probably worth it.

If George doesn't take it, let me know.

Alternately, hopefully your legal troubles are finished by now and you don't need to sell it.
