Sunn (o))) Coliseum-300 Bass Head and 2x15 SPL Cabinet
Looking to sell my '82 Sunn Coliseum-300 Bass Head and SPL 2x15 bass cabinet. Both are in excellent condition, especially considering they are almost 27 years old.
The head specs out as follows:
300 Watts @ 2 ohms
200 Watts @ 4 ohms
120 Watts @ 8 ohms
Lo Bass at 62.5Hz
Bass at 125Hz
Hi Bass at 250Hz
Low Mid at 500Hz
Mid at 1kHz
Hi Mid at 2kHz
Hi at 4kHz
Electronic Crossover Bi-Amp: 12dB/octave adjustable 100Hz-1kHz
Compressor: 2:1 ratio with adjustable threshold
Input jacks: Bright and Normal
Dimensions: 24"x7-3/4"x11-3/4"; 38 lbs.
The cabinet has 2-15" Sunn SPL speakers and is rated for 300W@4 ohms, so it can handle all of the head's power. It's plenty loud enough p--- off your wife, like it does mine!
If you a want the vintage sound made popular by guys like Chris Squire of Yes, John Entwistle of The Who, and Geddy Lee of Rush - this is definitely the right rig. I don't know how much the cabinet weighs, but it's alot. Just get the drummer to help you. There are wheels on the right side, so he can roll it if you explain that process to him. No major Tolex problems, but there is a very small, 4" abrasion (you can barely see it on the left side of the photo) on the top of the cabinet from a no-good, mean, nasty cat that is no longer causing trouble for anyone.
Email me for photos...

Oh, yeah...I guess that is an important omission! I'd like to keep them together, if possible. I'd do both for $600, or $400 for the head and $300 for the cabinet. I have some photos I can email if you'd like...gt
