can i get my cousin to pinch hit for me. she entered a hole in one contest for 1 million dollars and got a hole in one, unfortunately it was in the quilifying round not the actual competition.

I'm totally GASing for a white Tune bass. I'll even sell my Ric to get one. The only trouble is I can't find anyone who can import one for me. There's a company called Dot On Shaft Guitars in Ontario that imports them but I'm not comfortable ordering one unseen. They retail for around $1300 and that's just too much to be sending to someone I don't even know for a bass I haven't laid hands on.

Ah well, I'll just have to keep looking.

I've heard of them - they used to (maybe still do) sell a pile of private label guitars dead cheap on eBay.

No one in the Seattle area can get one for you? get one shipped to Barney's house & go pick it up - it's not that far from your place. (You'd need to bribe him with a bottle of sake)

I've been trying to get my hands on one of the Fender '60s Jazz basses but no one stocks them locally.

Yeah, I guess Seattle is probably the best place to try and get one. I'll probably do some research and see if it's possible. Of course the hard part will be getting the idea past the wife. That's why I'd consider selling the Ric. It might be the only way to get another bass without too much anguish. LOL

LOL my wife commented on the fact that I'm down to "only" 3 basses right now.

There's something about the '4 basses' level that seems to be the max that women can accept as rational. Anything 4 or less Debbie seems Ok with. When I express an interest in number 5 her eyes go all funny and she starts talking about how comfy the couch could be for my new sleeping arrangements.

That logic doesn't work when it's not a 2 way street ; ) But getting an admission of "I need more shoes" is gold; admit you don't at all understand why but love her & support her desires despite not understanding them. THEN bring in that American Deluxe Jazz Bass. (Helps if the doghouse is big enough to woodshed in ; )

I dunno; to me fair is fair & unfair is unfair. You need shoes, I need basses. You get to have at my basses, I get to have at your shoes.

Keep in mind now that I've had all of my basses longer than all my girlfriends. Probably worth mentioning that before someone "tries this at home" ; )

LOL! The doghouse better be big enough. I've long since stopped trying to use logic in 'discussions' with my wife. Just doesn't work.

That's the point!! Have her state logic has nothing to do with it; it's fashion & whim.

Might help if you get basses in different colours, or ask her which bass brings out the colour of your eyes.

Ever been in a relationship that WAS a 2 way street? Women talk two way relationship but it's on a one way street. I am finding all this talk about women and logic quite amusing. One would be more likely to find a unicorn than a logical woman. "Logical Woman" there's an oxymoron!!! Now they CAN be logicall, just not in a relationship. They COMPLETELY lack the ability or desire to do so. And yes I've been the fool trying to explain to MANY a woman WHY she was making no sense. An emotionally based being doesn't hear a word of what you're saying. She only understands an emotional responce. So, telling her to go fornicate herself in her mind says that you care. And if she takes your words and actually does go fornicate herself at least she'll be having sex with the only person (save children) who she truly cares about.

Well, I'm off to a gig to find me a woman....LOL!
