Lets see, a 16 pound solid state amp or a 45+ pound 16 valve tube amp. Can you say apples and oranges;>) Have you played either one or better yet both of these amps? I personally wouldn't care to haul around all that glass or weight. Although I have played through a Bass 400+ twice that was provided as backline at festivals and it sounded pretty good. Even though I am a solid state fan (see my gear list) I haven't played the Epifani so I can't comment.
