I used to own a 4X10XL and I liked it. It was robust and powerful, but too heavy for me (I now use a Nemesis 250W combo instead). I did find the highs lacked a bit of punch with my Hartke cab as there was no tweeter (I assume that the 2 x 10XL does not have one either).

All that said, if I were you I would wait until you get an offer of a 2 X 10, or 1 X 12 cab with a higher power rating....200W can be a bit limiting....300+ would be more interesting in my opinion...cheers Tom.

I like Peavey amps and speaker cabs, but agree that they are just hernias with handles. My 15" Black Widow is a beautiful cab but fortunately it never leaves the classroom. If I had to lug it to gigs, I'd definitely be looking for a good and lighter replacement. Either that or hire a roadie!

Don't think I'd trade for the Harke though. Sell Peavey and look around for something better.

Just my opinion though.
