Mozart died.

Yes, our faithful dog, Mozart, of 13 years has passed away. I will get my daughter, who was the rightful owner, a copy of the DVD "All Dogs GO to Heaven". Not a crisis in today's world, but as the rest of you dog owners here know, a sad occasion.

Sorry 'bout your loss Mike. My wife and I recently had to put down our old boy Auggie. He was a good dog and we miss him a lot. He was an Ibizan Hound and loved to run and work the brush in the fields trying desperatly to hunt down the elusive Jack
Rabbit that ceasesly destroys the farmers crops.
If there is a heaven for dogs, I know he's there doing what he loves best!

Sorry to hear, Mike! Our family dog (more my parents-in-law's) died, too, a couple of weeks ago. I've known him nearly as long as my wife.

Mike,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Sadly, I have been through this a few times. With the passing of each one I swore I'd never get another dog, but I have two now that belonged to my step-daughter. Her mother gave them away to someone who tied them to a tree during the July 4th weekend. If it weren't for micro-chipping, we'd have never found them. Since we're not allowed to have dogs in our apartment, we thought we'd find them a good home. Of course that was three years ago and we kept them despite nearly being evicted. It's like that when you love animals. But for us especially dogs. There is no doubt in my mind that all dogs indeed go to heaven.
Take care,
Jen

Dogs do go to heaven, but get recycled first. Their souls, that is, such as they are.

2 years ago I had 26, yes, 26 of them on my place. Most of them made it, and I placed them in good homes. I am down to the original 2. Plus Bugly, (short for Butt Ugly). He's a neighbor that lives here with my dogs 5-6 days at a time.

Ya love 'em while they're here, miss 'em when they're gone....and take care of the next batch. Thats the best thing in the world to get ya through it, and puts all life in proper perspective, for me anyway. Sorry for the ol' Mozart. Believe me, he's reincarnated somewhere even as we speak!

I am sorry for your loss, Mike. I am sure he gave you many years of companionship and entertainment. I know as I have gotten older that pets mean more to me than when I was younger. I am hoping that the next few days will be better for you.

Sorry to hear that Mike. I don't have any pets but I'm sure if I did I'd be pretty sad at losing them.
