I am happy with EMG Selects. Then again I've liked DiMarzios in the past as well. I'm sure you'll be satisfied with just about any aftermarket pickup that's available.

As for picture alignment I would suggest learning CSS (cascading style sheets). It's easy to learn and far more veratile than relying on older individual html tags.

There's some Bartolinis I've played that I haven't liked, and some I have. I like EMG's a lot, and I like Dimarzio's (I've recently seen the light with Dimarzios, I know Jared Lee will readily agree with me on that front).

I'd also look at Nordstrands, Aeros (Aeros are great pickups, if not a bit expensive), and Fralins.

I think you're best choosing pickups on what kind of Jazz Bass you've got as well. If you've got an alder body Jazz Bass, I'd drop some Fralins, Bartolinis or Dimarzios in there in keeping with the 60's Jazz Bass midrangey feel. If it was an ash body with a maple fretboard, I'd be more tempted by the Aeros and maybe the Nordstands again in keeping with the 70's Jazz Bass feel. EMG's IMO have a different sound altogether, very 'modern' sounding.

Oh yeh, Aeros and EMG's kill for slap work as well.

Barts will give you a nice warm jazzy tone, where the EMG's are going to be more mid oriented. In other words, go with Barts if low end is more important, but if articulation and 'cutting through the mix' is more important, the EMG's would be a better choice.
