To all the ric owners...
I informally started this post midway through my last post, and it didn't get anything, so I'm going to give it a go here:
What overdrive or distortion units do you use to really bring out the grit of your ric? Any recommendations from those that don't have a ric? I'm interested in rat distortion--any experience with this?

I've read that many Ric owners have used the stereo output to run the bass pup through a bass amp and the treble pup through a guitar amp with distortion on the treble. Geddy Lee did this in early Rush tunes. I think he used a HiWatt bass amp and a Sunn guitar amp.
