Both beautiful, both flawed. Rics have comfier necks in my opinion, you gotta try both for a while then decide.
When choosing a Ric though,bare in mind they can and do vary from bass to bass so buy the EXACT one you fall in love with, be warned!!I'm talking from experience.

I'd go for the precision because i played both basses and for me the neck on the Ric was to thick. Of course im used to the slim jazz neck.
