i am thinking of selling my ibanez sr400 and pbass for $300 (each) then saving up some and getting a Warwick Corvette Rockbass basic. Do you think its worth selling these and are these Corvettes any good? im into mostly funk and jazz stuff.

Hope you enjoy playing whatever you decide to do. Suggestion - check out a German made Warwick and you may well decide to save some more until you get one of those. I have done the usual Guitar Center / Sam Ash / etc rounds and played Rock Basses and the "other" Warwicks quite a few times. There is no comparison in my opinion.

Again, enjoy !

Nope, I'd much prefer to get a nice rounded growl out of my wood. Warwick mean it when they say 'The Sound Of Wood', everything about the bass is built upon the timbre used, and relies on it to achieve the signiture sound.

WOW! That was an interesting read. Anyway, i just wanted to say that I love my Warwick Neck-thru Thumb 5. I have played a covette LTD, loved it; streamer FNA jazzman, loved it; and a Dolphin Pro (way out of my league), loved it. I want to try the Infinity line, but I don't know anyone who has one 8-( I have never played any of the RockBass line, but the actual Warwicks kick A$$ as far as I am concerned. Not that my opinion matters...LOL Anyway, take care and let us know which way you go with your purchase. Luv4Bass aka Luv4Warwicks
