Your worst moment onstage!

I was playing a gig a few months back with a reasonably
packed theatre, i was stepping in for a band who's bassist
had an injury and couldn't make the gig, anyway, one of the
songs was quite heavy so i thought id 'rock' it up a bit, i
'rocked' it up by jumping all over the place, not noticing the
extended drum riser, and you guessed it, i tripped up good
and proper! Onto where?, the drum kit of all things, and
managed to impale the bass drums outer skin with my bass
and knocking over all the cymbals, the only survivor was
the little hi hat and snare, the toms were all out of place as
well, I felt like a top class plonker, and it was filmed!! So im
going to try and put the clip up here somehow so you can
all see my clumseyness! Anyone else have any bad
moments?

We used to do a song called "proove it" and the guitar intro last reasonably long. One night we had to wait 45 min after the soundcheck to get started, which is a perfect way to get me dead nerveous, so finally we start, guitar sets in, I notice that my cable is curled up, I think ok, I have plenty of time, unplug my cable and exactly then guitar plays the end stroke of the intro, trying to replug my cable I manage to plug in my shirt with my cable, so already having the shakes, I had the worst gig of my live.

Our bands second show: anything that could go wrong did. The sound guy jacked me into the DI box backwards, the monitors were cutting out, my guitarists pedal board was on the fritz and I broke my A string in the 2nd song of the set. But this is not the end. A chic from another band loans me her warlock bass and by now the set is almost over (we only had 5 or 6 songs at the time). I'm tuning the bass and cant understand why the E string wont tune. I look up and realize it's a 5 string with a low B. Her band gets up next, she doesnt realize the B string is outta wack and plays the first couple of songs outta tune.

A few months later: We're jumping around on the stage having fun and putting on a show. I trip over something and fall into my drummers hi-hats sending him backwards about that time my guitarists shoe decides to leave his foot and hits me in the head.

I dont know if this was the worst but it was definitely the scariest. I was playing in a small biker bar in Memphis. There was this guy there that was the absolute biggest human I have ever seen. Not fat but big like a refrigerator with a head!! He was drinking from a gallon jug of wine and smoking joints like in two or three puffs. The place was too small for dancing and when we played there most people just sat and listened. This guy started getting up and dancing and was falling into the tables and chairs. He busted his head open and was bleeding all over the place, but still having a good time. He kept walking up to the stage giving us the extremely loud, good ol boy YEEEHAAs. He looked like some kind of demon. We were worried that he would get on stage with us and destroy our equipment. Some idiot playing pool came up to him and grabbed his arm. The big dude just froze and looked at this idiot and said, Dont even imagine it! At that point we stopped playing and our chicken sh*t lead guitar player ran out of the room. The drummer, the keyboard player, and me were huddled behind the drums. The stage we were playing on was really, REALLY small. We were maybe five or six feet away from these guys. Finally a waitress came up and convinced the big guy to leave. We really thought the guy would go berserk, but we lucked out. We also found out what our guitar player was made of.

I am new to bass but have played trumpet for a long time. At a wedding recp. the bride wanted to sing Someone to Watch over Me and I had a solo along with the bride; I had just bought a new (used) trumpet and half way through the solo a valve stuck half way down and the sound that came out sounded like a wounded cow. The whole band (16 piece) turned around and started laughing. I sold the horn the next week.
