Have you ever finally learnt a song.................

That seemed almost impossible to play before? One that did that for me was Tommy the Cat. I remember a couple years ago I had the sheet music for it (primus anthology), took it to my bass teacher, practiced it alot, but it just didnt happen heh. A couple weeks ago i downloaded the power tab for it and it just clicked. I can now play it all of it with the fills cept the solo (but its getting there heh). I'm just kinda in shock with myself that I can actually pull it off now. Anyone else got a song that did this to you?

"Aeroplane" by RHCP. I bought the "One Hot Minute" bass transcription book something like 5 years ago, but being just a beginner still, I quickly realized I was out of my league on the majority of the material.

Anyway, I just found the book a couple weeks ago, picked it up, and "CLICK", it all made sense. Unfortunately, I no longer own that album (funny how CD's just "disappear"), so I only messed around with a few songs.

But I'll be honest, I haven't commited anything to memory. Yet.

Peace

Oh my god, that very thing just happened like 5 minutes ago.

I can play all of 3 RHCP songs. The 3 i cant do are Nobody Wierd Like Me, Skinny Sweaty Man, and Coffee Shop. I always thought id never be able to play those three, ever. But just now i gave the Coffee Shop solo a go, and i can do it. It didnt really 'click' though. Im honest to god when i say theres blood all over my fingers, strings and pickguard. Oh well, 2 left.

Well, the fill in black sabbaths children of the grave that hits about 2 minutes or so into the song has been a pain for me forever! I play that song all the time and I never seem to be able to hit it! Then the other day i was screwing around and slapping that song, and it just kinda worked! Now i can hit it all the time slap or no slap!!
