a real easy one is PORTRAIT OF TRACY by an unknown bassist i cant even remember his name actually, SORRY BOUT THAT I WAS HAVING A ACID FLASHBACCK OR SUMTIN, no really there are some SABBATH songs that are pretty easy to learn and mostly everyone has heard them(sweet leaf,iron man,electric funral,hand of doom and the song black sabbath)

AC/DCs bass lines are pretty easy for most of their songs,so you can always work on some more of their songs for a while.
There's plenty of them to choose from.

I first started with things like offspring songs, theyre pretty easy to start with, and as you progress they have some hardeer basslines for you to try

The Marilyn Manson songs i know are easy too but not as easy as AC/DC or The Offspring.
Holywood or The Fight Song are good to begin with.

I learned Nirvana songs when I first started. They are mostly simple and the tab is easy to find. Another great band would be a band like the Donnas. Just straight ahead Rock 'n Roll bass playing~Josh

Learn to play some recognizable tunes like "Happy Birthday", "The Star Spangled Banner", or some Beatles melodies. Melodies in general are a fine thing to learn. A very easy song is "What do we do with a Drunken Sailor?" When someone asks you to 'play something', a bass line from a rock song will NOT impress them! Personally, I have been learning the Bach Cello Suites, and also "Flight of the Bumblebee".

I think that any motorhead is pretty good to start with..
Just listen to some stuff and find some cool bass lines....if you like em then learn em!
Some iron maiden is pretty easy.Avoid there first 2 albums though coz steve harris wrote some real active basslines!
I started bass about 8 months ago(oh and btw im 13 to..well 14 in 2wks)and i think i come real far by just printing tab from my fav songs and just trying to jam along..give it a go!
