Yeah, call me rookie - but I have been in the bass thing (brass)for 30 some years. (New to the electric bass tho') I play a MIM Fender Jazz and use a Yamaha RBX260L for a back-up. I am breaking in a Hofner Cavern which I expect will take the lead spot. Yeah, call me lefty too.

Heavily modded Zon Sonus Fretless 4-string. Bookmatched Burl Maple top added. All of the electronics gutted including the pickup and replaced with a big humbucker out of a G&L and new electronics (passive) instaleld with only a volume knob to worry about. Schaller bridge and new graphite nut were also installed. DR lowrider strings.

My other toy is a fairly cheap 3/4 URB from China with a no-name piezo pickup.

My main bass is an Ibanez BTB-1000. I also have an Epiphone Thunderbird IV.

I play a custom made bass that resembles a musicman. It was built by Peter Mangs from Sweeden. It has a wide variety of tone controls and is passive so I can get the retro sound also. Series and parellel switches give me another angle for sound. I will never play another bass. I have a Fender Jazz for a back up. Five string all the way. Both of them.
