There IS bass on ...And Justice For All!

Before you all go crazy, hear me out. I have listened to this album over and over and I believe that I have picked up on the bass finally in it. In songs such as One, it is relatively easy to hear. Not to mention To Live is To Die and Harvester of Sorrow. I think the bass of course should be turned up, but I am pretty positive I can pick it out now. It's just turned down lower than Master of Puppets (which is low enough I think, Master of Puppets was also pretty freakin low).

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah John, you are correct, there is bass...and it is well hidden!! The thing is Jason pretty much doubled everything James played, so every now and then you can hear some bass in parts where Jason plays something different from James. Regardless of the fact that the bass is hard to find, I still love that album!!!

The album is excellent...however I don't listen to it for Jason's bass playing. I just love the songs. I think that every single one is good actually. Especially One and ...and Justice for All.

it is there, but you cant hear it very well, thats for sure. however, im sure it would make one hell of load of difference if it was taken out of the songs.

I was under the impression, that in fact he did double James! But, he also used a guitar head and cab with massive amounts of distortion! Way back in the day, of seeing them live......Jason would always hit what i found out later to be an A/B switch, for One and a few other songs. Then his sound would change directions, from the right of the stage, to the center left!
Ah-well......just another thing to make you go Huuuuuuuuuuummmmmppphhh! LOL

Yeah, but when you listen to it, don't listen for a bass sound.

It's like..hard to explain...a bass with a J-Pickup RIGHT BY the bridge with tone and treble turned all the way up is what his bass sounds like...JAMES AND LARS YOU MORONS

;)
