Best large venue performances: (Arena shows) As far as ability to perform live, the product they recorded on albums - and for quality of sound reinforcement, I have never heard a live concert in over 30 years of concert-going which compared to Supertramp and/or Heart in the Seattle Center Coliseum.

Best Outdoor performance: Indigenous at the Winthrop Blues Festival a few years ago.

Best Small Venue Show: George Throrgood at the Aquarius Tavern about 20+ (?) years ago...with honorable mention to Tower of Power at the Nugget in Reno last New Years.

Best "Wish I knew then what I know now" show: Led Zeppelin about 30 years ago - once in Seattle and once in Vancouver BC)

Most amazing show for musicianship of all band members in a tight performance: Frank Zappa...again with honorable mention to TOP.

Although, Phish Hallowen nite was good. They did "Quadraphenia"

Megadeth @ the Warehouse in Toronto. it's a little club...a LITTLE club. and it absolutely KICKED ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New American Shame and Static-X opened for them, but Megadeth is sooooooooo goood live!!!!

Took the Boss (wife) to the Redding (England) Pop Festival in 77 or 78; saw the Sex Pistols (sucked), Boomtown Rats (Ok) and Aerosmith. What a mismatch of style and talent! All I really remember was mud, mud and more mud. Rained like crazy. Sex Pistols were living proof that talent and skill had nothing to do with fame and fortune in music biz.... Hype, then and now, is what sells.... Fact that Johnny Rotten was driving to Soho via Rolls on blow runs while Frank Zappa was struggling to make car payments still gets me hot!!!
