Have active PU's. w/Passive elec. Looking for Preamp suggestions

I have a Guild Pilot w/active EMGS. They are beginning to sound quite weak. I am considering a pickup replacement, but have also toyed w/installing a preamp so the whole works would be active. Suggestions please. Thanks!

I went to the site and it was outstanding with pictures to show you how to do it and also what you needed to do the modification. The best part was it was a cheap process. You might want to find it and check it out.
