I currently play a Warwick Streamer Stage I and Trace Elliot GP-12 with a Peavey 4x12 cab. The only "effect" I use is an Alesis Nano-comp (compressor).

If we're talking about "DREAM" setup, I will choose Fodera Victor Wooten YinYang 5-String. A Ken Lawrence Chamberbrase 6 fretless, an Rick Turner Renaissance Fretless 5 Acoustic. A MTD 635. For Effects I would like to have everyone in the Boss line, an Envelope Filter, and a Cry Baby. For Amps... LOL, 1 EBS 8 x 10" Cabs, 2 Epifani 4 x 10", 2 Bergantino 4 x 10" and a hole bunch of Walter Woods heads, ampeg Pre-amp and a power amp with at least 6000+ Watts of power.

Dream set up ha? my dream set up is almost complete but... to share to you mine? it would be as follows:

Amps:
2 - GK 1001RB head
2 - GK 115RBH Cab.
2 - GK 410RBH Cab.
Bass:
Hamaya TRB6P,modulus Graphite 6 String
Shadowski 6 string fretless

all EBS, and a good digital tuner

I'm most of the way there with the "Dream Setup"As we play lots of different size venues but nearly all mixed on stage I have to have a reasonably small rig but with good punch.

1 x Ampeg SVT 350 combo (2 x 10's and horn)
1 x JBL 15" Bin (for those bigger jobs)
1 x late 80's Ibanez Roadstar (standard actives)
1 x el cheapo J bass copy converted to fretless (by me)
1 x Early (bloody ancient) bass flanger (weighs nearly as much as the Ampeg).

To finish off I would like to get a Zoom or similar effects unit and a decent set of pickups for the fretless as the standard J style is gutless, no tone, crap etc etc.

just going through some old messages and realised I was a member of the Active Bass community. Been years since I was on here.
Still gigging nearly every week, still have the same rig plus the addition of an Epiphone El Capitan Accoustic Bass. Beautiful smooth sound especially for those "dinner music" sets. Only use the fretless for practice now and use both the combo and extension pretty well all the time nowadays. Still haven't got that effects unit yet either, not sure if I really need it. Combo had some issues recently and borrowed a SVT 5 Pro. What an amazing piece of gear, run in dual amp mode just blew me away but couldn;t justify the cost

Basses:
Warwick Dolphin Pro Fretless 4-string
6-string tenor Fodera custom

Amp:
My Basses would go through a 4-way chord into 4 Eden Nemesis Fullstacks, Each one set to a different specific sound, so its like 4 basses playing at once, each with different tone (god, wouldnt that be awsome)

Effects:
Boss Reverb/Delay, a couple good multi-effects, EQ pedal

that should hold me over for a while

My dream setup would include my Spector NS5CRFM (the perfect 5-string), a good set of strings (d' Addario), maybe a line6 effects machine (the professional BassPOD) and an EBS Faffner amp!
The cabinet ought to be an EBS, too. But I like Hartke too. Maybe even a SWR cabinet.
Most important: good cables!
