Personnaly i play this song on my right hand with the thumb the major and the index to have a sound not cut. For your left hand the fings are the best on this tablature don't even try to find anothers. I suggest you to play this theme with an another rythm, more syncoped like a guitarist first note with thumb and the 2 others played together with index and major. Try different latin claves.
