This chord progression was given to the Bass/Nature Reunion campers as an exercise in creating a walking bass line.

I have provided a suggested line; however, the best use of this lesson is to mute the bass line and just work out your own line over these changes. Note that you can change the playback tempo using the controls at the bottom of the screen.

As in the camp exercise, the first half of the lesson has the bass line in half time; then the second half has the full walking line. Due to the limitations of the Track Builder, I couldn't put in a full break at the end of the first half as we had in the example; the harmony stops but the percussion continues.

Also due to the limitations in the Line Builder, I can't put in a full "diggety dog" (triplet rhythm), but just the first and third beats of the triplet (swung eighths). This is one you can do on your own!

Have fun working out your bass line!
