Major To Minor

by Marc Huber (348)

Pages: 1 2 Suggested Tempo: 100

Here is just a little idea o how you can spice up grooves by switching back and forth from actual minor and major. This line is in D (Dmaj7 to Dmin7). The bass line throws in some cool timing with triplets over the harmony. This is a fun groove. I play the 5th on the first beat of the second measure to help accentuate the change in chords instead of playing the root twice. It works out quite well.
