Leaving Space (Teeney Weeney Bit)

by Larry Mysz (2959)

Pages: 1 2 3 Suggested Tempo: 140

You can add spice to your playing by varying the amount of 'space' (or rests) you leave in different portions of a song.

The hook in the blues classic "Teeney Weeney Bit" is the tremendous amount of open space you can leave. The bass almost drops out of every other measure leaving room for lots of creative vocals or other instrument riffing. This is the line that is used during the vocals.
