This is an example of the type of pseudo-baroque line that these spread-out arpeggios can easily form. This line includes different types of triads and meanders a bit tonally before concluding on a C major. Notice in measure two the use of the open A string to allow a quick shift downward.

These kinds of lines are especially useful in beefing up a solo, or accompanying a single-line melody. On fretless, they encourage attention to hand position and intonation: if your fingers aren't right where they should be, the arpeggios will let you know by sounding truly awful.
