The Blues note in a minor pentatonic Scale is simply the flatted fifth (5b) of the root note. This means that in the standard G Minor Pentatonic (G, Bb, C, D, A) The Note D flat (Db) would be included. In The A minor Pentatonic, The Note E flat (Eb) would be incorporated, In the D minor Pentatonic The Note A flat (Ab) would be included, and so on.

One of the best ways in which to utilize this note is to bend the note before it up a half step, until the tone of the blues note is reached. You will find that this one extra note can confer much greater flexibility in the minor pentatonic scale.
