No...Were not done yet!! We can add even more to this!! We can ascend and descend the Neck in 3rds! Or 4ths! Or 5ths! Or you can Harmonize the Modes!! Perform it, starting Low on the Neck, ascending, and descending then reverse it. Start High on the Neck, descending, and ascending then reverse it. Got it? :^/ Yeah You Do!! Perform this one in the same manner as the “Modes in G.” Loop it! :^D

WOW!! There are even more possibilities!! This should also be done using the Melodic Minor, Major, Diminished, Whole note, Melodic minor, Relative minor, Pentatonic, Harmonic minor scales, or any True Scale.* Remember, we are trying to get that Legendary, Magical, Mystical, Golden Musical Ear!!

I know that this may seem Tedious but, I think it will help you a Great deal! The Good Bass Players hang in there! :^D

Integrate this into your daily practice routine, use this as a warm-up exercise, use it to impress to your Friends or show-off to your Dog or Cat!!! :^D Just make sure that you use this daily!! I feel that this is Important to your development as Bass Players, Demons of the Deep End, Low End Masters, Bassists, Bottom Monsters, Deep End Dwellers, and Bad Ass Bass Playing Persons!!!! And even more Importantly, your development as Bass Playing MUSICIANS, as well!!

You should pick a Scale and work on that Scale for whatever amount of time you need to master it. Then, pick another one and another one and another one, until you have done them all! All Scales!! In all Keys!!

Once you have gotten one scale under your belt...The rest of them will be much easier! Believe me, they will!!!!! :^D

Your thinking (Musically) will change from the Scale-wise Root to Root, Root to Root type of thought, toward the a more Melodious Note to Note to Note to Note, type of Musical thinking!!

Once you have Developed your Legendary, Magical, Mystical, Golden Musical Ear...Just think what you do with it? Your Solo’s will sound so much better. You will be able to Improvise! You will be able to Hear what 'Key' a song is in! Your Confidence will increase! You’ll be able to really ”Get your Groove On!!” And, if you lost it, or can’t find it...you’ll be able to”Get Your Groove Back!!” You will be able to hear Chord changes! Your Chops will improve! (No...Not your Pork chops or, Lamb chops!) Your Musical Chops!! Your Bass playing will be....Off The HOOK!!! You will be able to Rock-On! Punk-Out! Blues-Down! Or Jazz-Up!! With your own Individual Style & Musical Grace!! :^D Maybe even More!! It’s all up to YOU!

Remember...have FUN while you’re doing this! And once your start this you will find that it is a lot of FUN! :^D

So, start your Quest today for your...Legendary, Magical, Mystical , Golden Musical Ear! Have a Wondrous Journey. You’ll be glad you did!

Here is a sample of the G Modes in 3rds! Listen to the Sound of it!! Sounds really Beautiful, doesn’t it? ;^D This one has a Nice Flavor to it! Mmmm! Feast your Ear’s!!! :^P

*If the scale does not sound Musical...Don’t Practice it!!!
