Jazz Chord Progression

Pages: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Suggested Tempo: 130

As you can see, there are many ways to play the same Jazz chord progression, or any progression for that matter. There are many more methods to accomplish this than the ones that I have listed here. e.g. Tritone substitution, rehamonization, using the Pentatonic scales, deceptive cadences, slash chords, etc.

As sole holders of The Bottom, and being a vital part of any band, we need to have a very good hold on theory and its application. I feel that the information in this lesson will help you increase your Harmonic vocabulary...Use it well!

Now we know where the Notes come from! :^) They come from The Scales, The Modes, The Triads!

Play with these! See if you can come up with your own chord progressions. Go ahead....Give it a try!! And the most important thing of all is...Have FUN while you are doing this!

Never stop studying...Never stop learning...There is always something new to learn and use!

All comments are welcome! :^)

Sincerely,

Clifton-The Warwick Pro-M Streamer Bassman

One last chance to Get My Groove On! The I-vi-ii-V7 in G.

(Bars 13 & 14 have two chord chenges per bar! The V7 goes back to the I very well indeed!)
