Just remember...the next time you see a chart with "latin" written at the top, just remember: "latin" is not a country or a style. Samba, salsa, mambo and many other styles lumped together under that heading are all individual feels, with individual flavors and widely separated origins.

If you want to get a clean drink of water, you don't drink downstream of the cattle-wade...you drink from the source. Listen to the originators of the styles when possible. Buy an Antonio Carlos Jobim CD, or better yet, buy a bunch.
