O'Fenlon's Hornpipe

This fiddle tune from O'Neill's is originally in the key of B-flat, but to be obnoxious, I re-wrote this in the key of D-flat major. That said, the first half actually lies pretty well on the lower frets. There are some tricky parts in the second half, particularly in bar 13 where the melody moves higher. Get the B-flat on beat 3 in bar 13 (3rd fret, 1st string) with your index finger which will set you up well for the rest of the riff.

This is one of the fiddle tunes I transcribed in my book "Erin Go Bass". If you have questions, comments or suggestions, or for information about that book or my music teacher referral site, www.findmymusicteacher.com, email me at david@findmymusicteacher.com.
