This is all based on Ionian (Major) scales. The first part walks you through diatonic 5ths in one position. The next part walks you through diatonic 5ths in different positions.
There are four chord patterns used here, one per measure. Major, STARTING with the middle finger on the root (bottom note of chord), 2 Minors, STARTING with either the index finger or the pinky on the root, and Diminished (Minor7b5) STARTING with the index finger on the root.
In poth parts, the Root of the chord is always the first beat of the measure and the last beat of the measure. Use the finger indicated on the FIRST beat of each measure. The 3rd and 5th of each chord lands on beats 2 and 3.
