Simple latin, dm7, cm7

by Steve Peterson (329)

Pages: 1 Suggested Tempo: 120

This is a simple chord change, dm7 to cm7.

I included some simple latin riffs. They are built on the rythmn of playing on 1, the and of 2 and 4, i.e., dotted quarter, dotted quarter, quarter note.

The most basic riffs are on the root and fifth of the chord.

I left out changes on the last two bars, do something different.

Try practing slowly, about 60 bpm, and concentrate on playing in tune. Play a bit faster, about 120, and play in time.

Solo using a b flat major scale over the changes.
