Here are some typical chord changes, so let's start out REAL simple, by just playing the root & fifth. This way you get to listen to what the drummer is doing so you can play with a similar feel next time through OR the guitar/drums are so busy that you lay down a firm straight line like this so that everyone has an anchor point. But hey, it may sound good just like this, sometimes a tune needs a straight solid line.
