Locrian Experimentation

by WILLIAM HULSEY (24485)

Pages: 1 2 Suggested Tempo: 120

The real point of this lesson is to show the feel of the Locrian mode. It is one of my favorite modes. To my ear, it has a very melancholy sound--somewhat sad, but with a certain beauty to it.Anyway, you'll notice I've used minor7b5 chords to compliment the bass line, which is more of a solo than a supporting line.Remember, my intent is to show how this "feels" rather than give you a note-for-note "here's how it is played" lesson. So feel free to experiment with this stuff and see what you can pick up on.
