Want to learn some thumpin slaps?! I thought i would start out with the basics first. Here is an easy octave slap that is a pretty basic technique used. Its an Amaj scale but you can use it with any root all over the fret board. Its pretty straight forward. Slap the low note and pluck the higher octave. That simple! The trick is to keep it clean sounding. Start slow, then progress. Try shifting the root note(the first note hit in the scale, in this case A)up a string or up the fret board.
