The chord pattern here would be written as compound chords-ie D/G,Cmaj7/G, Bm/G, G- the /G defining G in the bass. Best played with sound set to Elec Pick or Slap 1.The chords are all based on G major- so, naturally the single note of G in this example is why this works so well.
