Bach's Invention #1

by Samuel Fernandez (132)

Pages: 1 2 Suggested Tempo: 120

This is the bass part to Bach's Two Part Invention no.1. The piece is short and is quite simple and fun to learn. Just take your time with it by counting it in 8/8 time instead of 4/4. So your 8 notes will be counted on the down beat with your foot. So it should go something like this: 1n2n3n4n5n6n7n8n... this will make it easier to play through the 16th note rests and the tied over notes.

I'll leave it at that for now. I'll put up an indepth analysis over time, but in the mean time work out those fingerings and rhythms. Play the notes, specifically the 8th notes, with a staccatto feel.
