Top of the week, fellow members of the low society!
I wasn't planning on repeating myself, but every now and then I come across a groove that was done by someone I know, and it just inspires me all over again...so let me pass it on!
This week's groove is in the style of Anthony Jackson...again...and it's based on his groove in the O'Jays' song "For The Love of Money." Smokin"!!! I think the cat was a teenager when he came up with this, and it was enough to gain him co-writing credit! I think you'll enjoy this.
Anthony was featured in GOTW #39, so not much new I can tell you about him. This particular tune is part of the Philly Sound, which was described in GOTW #41. Wow, we're getting enough of these grooves to cross-reference...pretty cool, huh?
Without further delay, here's a groove in the style of Anthony Jackson, and when you get the chance, please do yourselves a favor and pick up the original recording!
