Hey Newbies and even Oldies alike. In this lesson, I'm going to show you three, count 'em, three patterns to the 12 bar blues! I'll show you each pattern individually, then on the last page I'll show you a mix of all three styles. Now, there are an ifinite number of ways to mix these three patterns.

For you beginners out there, learning how to play this will make you sound like a pro even if you haven't been playing that long. Also, it will give you a great foundation in music theory and song structure. Here's the pattern for the 12 bar blues: A/D/A/A/D/D/A/A/E/D/A/E. Each letter stands for one bar or measure of music.
