Left Hand Drill

by FRANCIS LOPEZ (265)

Pages: 1 2 Suggested Tempo: 50

As for any drill you shall play whith a slow tempo at the beginning, and increase it step by step when you feel confortable.

This drill is dedicated to left hand. You can choose any position on the fingerboard (the example is in fifth position), but remember to use one finger per fret (fore finger on fifth fret, middle finger on sixth fret and so on).

It is important also, with this drill, to have only one finger in contact with the fingerboard (unused fingers shall be up), so when next finger is coming in contact with the fingerboard former one shall be removed (this is helpfull for fingers dependency).

Practice it all along the fingerboard to get use to the different fret sizes.

Remember about finger position regarding fret (finger against the fret), and stop as soon as you get pain.
